Baylor’s online EdD immersion series gives learners the opportunity to meet their classmates in person, and engage in hands-on learning opportunities. As a learner in this program, you will cultivate community and prepare to enter the field with confidence. Learners will attend the following two on-campus immersions:
Immersion one: Learners participate in a two-day workshop on campus, where they begin to work on elements of their Problem of Practice (PoP) with the assistance of EdD faculty and staff.
Immersion two: Learners meet on campus to engage in peer working group sessions and present their PoP dissertation.
Each immersion is three credit hours and is billed at the credit hour rate for the relevant term. In addition to tuition costs for the immersion credits, learners are responsible for costs associated with travel and lodging. (You may request a Cost of Attendance Adjustment from the Student Financial Aid Office if you need to apply for student loans beyond the average cost of attendance to cover your expenses. The Cost of Attendance Adjustment form can be accessed online through our appeals webpage).
